Career
He played college basketball at Northwood Institute from 1963-1967. Pettway was drafted in the 16th round of the 1967 National Basketball Association Draft by the Cincinnati Royals but played professional basketball for the other team that drafted him, the Houston Mavericks of the American Basketball Association prior to the American Bar Association-National Basketball Association merger.
Membership
He is Northwood"s all-time leading scorer and rebounder and is a member of that school"s Hall of Fame.
