Professor theatre arts University Nevada, Las Vegas, 1962-1994, faculty dean, 1965—1968. Dean College of Fellows of America Theatre, Kennedy Center, Washington, 2000—2002, dean emeritus, since 2002. Director literary seminars Utah Shakespeare Festival, Cedar City, Utah, 1987-2003.

Critic-at-large American College Theatre Festival, Washington, since 1970, American Community Theatre Festival, since 1970. With United States Army, 1957-1959.
