Jerzy Granowski made his debut in 1926 in the opera Stanisław Moniuszko "Raftsman" in the role of a young raftsman Franek. In the following seasons he sang the roles of Cavaradossi (from the opera Tosca), Herman (from the opera The Queen of Spades), Don Jose (from the opera Carmen), Pinkerton ( from the opera Madame Butterfly) and in many other operas.
In 1958 he celebrated the 30th anniversary of his artistic work.
Jerzy was a cheerful man and kind to others.
Married twice, second time to Anna Teresa Knypl.
