A freelance photographer, from 1963 to 1970 Jesper Hornworked with freelance photojournalists in Copenhagen who, together, founded the Delta-Group. He freelanced in San Francisco (1959-1961) and in Paris (1952-1954), and operated his own studio in Copenhagen from 1954 to 1959.
Jesper Horn was director of photography on the 1967 film Quite Days in Clichy. In 1969 he directed, wrote and photographed his own feature film, Smile Emil.
