Jessica is a graduate of the Dramatic Writing Program at New York University, and The Juilliard School. She was a Tennessee Williams Fellow at The University of the South, a recipient of The Le Compte de Nouy stipend, the first annual Helen Merrill Award, and a 2000 Berrilla Kerr Foundation Award. Plays include: Get What You Need was commissioned by The Atlantic Theater Company (New York).
I felt like theater was more accessible to me, but I think in the back of my mind I always wanted to write screenplays.

She recently completed writing and directing her first feature based on her play Refuge, with Brian Geraghty and Krysten Ritter. Her screenplays include: Absent Hearts for Imagine/ Pete Berg.
