Jihinari Sakuragawa was born in 1761, Japan.
He became a disciple of Toho Sakuragawa (Kishida), a novelist.
He was also a tea ceremony master. He liked rakugo, comic storytelling, and himself wrote and told comic stories at vaudevilles. With Emba Utei I, he revived the art of rakugo. His novels are not distinguished.
