Career
He previously held the same position at Saint Francis University, Saint Bonaventure University and the University of Rhode Island. Baron had a 20-season stint as coach in the Atlantic 10 Conference, between nine seasons at Saint Bonaventure and eleven seasons at Rhode Island. In April 2010, he agreed with Rhode Island to a contract extension through the 2013-2014 season.
However, after a 7–24 season and a second-to-last place conference finish in 2011-2012, the university terminated his contract.
