Achievements include head coach of National Invitational Tournament winning University of Connecticut Huskies, 1988; head coach of National Collegiate Athletic Association Final Four National Championship winning University of Connecticut Huskies, 1999, 2004, 2011; winning 800th career game as a college head coach, February 25, 2009.
