Career
He was an allrounder who bowled slow left-arm orthodox and was a right-handed batsman. He played 39 first-class matches for Scotland between 1954 and 1972. Made his first-class debut playing for Oxford University and took figures of 7-7-0-1.
Five of his maidens were bowled to Len Hutton
Dismissed Keith Miller and Ian Craig in his opening over in a game against the Australians the following week
A run wasn"t scored against him until the 11th over of his first-class career
Although he never scored a century for Scotland he once made 99 against the touring New Zealanders in 1965
Took 11 for 123 in a match against Pakistan in 1971
In 2011 he was one of the twelve initial inductees into the Scottish Cricket Hall of Fame.
