He graduated from Northwood High School (Irvine, California) in 2004 with honors. Later he studied at California State University, Fullerton, majoring in graphic design and graduated 2009 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts.

Born in Taipei, Taiwan, Hsieh moved to Irvine, California when he was ten years old. Press and 2nd place City of Irvine Logo Award (2000).
While at CSUF, he became a member of Associated Students CSUF Incorporated., Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity, Kappa Pi International Honorary Art Fraternity, University Honors Society, and Order of Omega.
