Jiri Zrust is a Czech-born British company executive. He is a senior managing director at Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets.

Background

Zrust was born on November 16, 1974 in Prague, Czech Republic; the son of Jiri Josef Zrust and Alena (Stastna) Zrust.

Education

Zrust received a Master of Business Administration degree from the Open University Business School in 2005.

Career

Zrust began his career as a reporting and billing manager at TNT in Prague in 1993. Two years later he took a position of a finance director at that company. Then in 1999, Jiri was appointed a senior director of internal audit at TNT in Amsterdam. Also he served as a finance director at the same company in Sydney from 2001 to 2003.

In 2003, Zrust became a chief financial officer at CEVA Logistics. Six years later he held the position of a group chief financial officer at C.S.CARGO Management a.s. Then in 2011, Jiri became a managing director, head of Central and Eastern Europe and South East Europe at Macquarie Group Limited. Since 2015 he has been a senior managing director at Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets.

In addition, since 2010 Zrust has been a chairman of the Board of Trustees at the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award Foundation in Prague. Since 2015 he has been founder and trustee of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award (DofE) program in Slovakia. Since 2018 Jiri has been working as a chairman of the World Fellowship and member of the Board of Trustees at the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award Foundation in London.
