He went to Toho High School for his graduation. In 1996 he was a visiting professor of Kanazawa Gakuin University Faculty of Letters.
Akagawa started his profession as a mystery author in 1976, and his first novel was distributed in the next year. Picking up ubiquity for his diverting riddles, Akagawa turned into a top of the line creator.
