Appointed mayor of Kofu City (1943) and counselor of Yamanashi Nichinichi Shimbun (1943) and president of Matashin Company (1946). Purged from the public profession (1951) and after being depurged was reinstated as president of Yama, nashi Mainichi Shimbun (daily newspaper). Holds several additional posts including that of president of Yamanashi Prefectural Tourist League.
