Career
Roberts first began working for the Canadian Broadcasting Company in 1976, starting her career on the East Coast. In 2004, she became host of Canadian Broadcasting Company Radio One"s All Points West, a weekday afternoon radio program produced at the Canadian Broadcasting Company Victoria (British Columbia) broadcast centre, a position she held for ten years. In December 2014, Roberts retired in order to campaign against funding cuts to the Canadian Broadcasting Company and pursue a political career.
On 24 January 2015, Roberts announced she would be seeking the Green Party of Canada nomination in Victoria for the upcoming federal election.
Green Party Leader Elizabeth May was present for the announcement and said she was excited that Roberts had chosen to seek the nomination.
