Jo Labanyi attended Lady Margaret Hall in Oxford from 1963 to 1967, graduated with B.A. (Spanish).
Career
Jo Labanyi worked at the University of London, Birkbeck College, London, England as a professor of modern Spanish literature and cultural studies since 1971. She also was a founding editor at Journal of Spanish Cultural Studies and general editor of Remapping Cultural History book series, Berghahn Books. Labanyi is currently a professor at NYU College of Arts and Science.
