Founded Theatre Workshop with Gerry Raffles 1945, Artistic Director 1945-1975, tours in United Kingdom and Europe with original works 1945-1953, Theatre Royal, Stratford, London, E.15 1953-1975. Invited to Theatre of the Nations, Paris yearly from 1955. Transfers to West End, London and Broadway, New York 1960-1961.
Centre Culture!, Hammamet, Tunisia 1965-1967. Image India, Calcutta 1968. Created children's entertainments outside Theatre Royal Stratford 1968-1975.
