Viana played for several teams as a youth, including Boavista F.C. where he spent three years. In 2011-2012 he made his senior debuts with Communicative Disorders Trofense, in the second division. Viana made his official debut on 7 August, starting against F.C. Penafiel in the season"s League Cup.
