Joseph Patrick Coleman was an American professional baseball player.
Career
A right-hander, he was a pitcher in the Major Leagues for the Philadelphia Athletics (1942, 1946–1951 and 1953), Baltimore Orioles (1954–1955) and Detroit Tigers (1955). The eldest Coleman missed the 1943–1945 seasons while serving in the United States Navy during World World War World War II He was named to the 1948 American League All-Star Team. He died in Fort Myers, Florida at the age of 74.
