Joe was a very generous person. I met him while hitchhiking in San Carlos in 1976. Over the year we developed a good relationship and he invited me over for dinner several times. On my birthday the next year he dropped off a bottle of cheap champagne in the mailbox for me to celebrate with. We had a few things in common, one being the proximity of our birthdays, and the other of course was our passion for Art. He gve me his artist's proof for the Chateau Chavalier de la ruz .... unfortunately, it was donated to a thrift stoe by my landlord's son after I had moved out. You can see the dedication on the bottom of the serigraph. 'To my friend Paul Namaste"
