De Kock made his debut for Holland on 24 February 1993, in a 1994 Fédération internationale de football association World Cup qualifying match against Turkey (3–1) in Utrecht. He played for Football Club Groningen (1984-1987), Football Club Utrecht (1987-1994), Roda JC (1994-1996), and Football Club Schalke 04 (1996–2000), with whom he won the Union of European Football Associations Cup in 1997.
