Career
She was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Finnmark in 1993, but was not re-elected in 1997. From 1997 to 2000, during the first cabinet Bondevik, she was appointed State Secretary in the Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development. She chaired the county party chapter from 1987 to 1991.
