Bauman's name is associated with the introduction of the Swiss Penal Code, the revision of the law on alcohol, the upholding of the civil servants, the revision of the Code of bonds, the adoption of the Law on the Abolition of the agrarian debt and the creation of the Federal Police in 1935. He also started to create the military penal code.
