Career
Mastenbroek was born and raised in Dordrecht, son of Klaas Mastenbroek, a tailor, and Goverdina Rackwitsz. He was chairman of the Nederlandsch-Indische Voetbal Unie (Dutch East Indies football association) and vice-president of the Dutch East Indies Olympic Committee.
