Doctor philosophy Panzer-Division. The Knight"s Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Johannes Schulz was killed on 27 November 1943 at Skofijewka, north of Kryvyi Rih.
He was posthumously promoted to Generalmajor.
