A description and analysis of the visible remains of insula V.ii in Ostia antica. The block comprises thirteen buildings of varying character, among them two domus (House of Fortuna Annonaria and House of the Porch), apartment houses, a bath building (Baths of the Philosopher), industrial buildings and shops. Particular attention is paid to the different building phases of the House of the Porch.
