Career
He served as the Mayor of Nashville, Tennessee from 1833 to 1834, and again in 1869. His father was Peter Bass. He was the President of the Union Bank of Tennessee.
He also owned plantations in Louisiana and Arkansas.
As a Mayor of Nashville in 1833-1834 and 1869, he was a Unionist/Whig. Personal life
Like him, he owned a cottage in Beersheba Springs, Tennessee.
