In 1998, he again finished 6th in the rankings to gain his European Tour card, which he has kept ever since.
Career
He turned professional in 1991. Bickerton joined the Challenge Tour, Europe"s second tier professional golf tour, in 1993. He initially struggled to establish himself at Europe"s top level, returning to the Challenge Tour in 1997.
Nine months later he claimed his second tour title at one of the European Tour"s richest events, the Open de France.
