BRADBURY, John Buckley was born on February 27, 1841 in Saddleworth, Yorkshire. Son of John Bradbury, merchant and manufacturer.

Education

Studied at King's College, London. Caius and Downing Colls. Cambridge; Scholar of Downing.

Bachelor of Arts; 1st class Natural Sciences Tripos, 1864. Examiner, Natural Sciences Tripos, 1868 and 1869. Has on many occasions examined for Medical Degrees.

Has been Assessor to the Regius Professor of Physic. Doctor of Medicine (Cambridge).

Career

Physician to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, since 1869. Formerly Medical Lecturer at Downing and Caius Colleges. And Linacre Lecturer in Physic at St. John’s.

Bradshaw Lecturer at the Royal College, of Physicians, London, 1895. Croonian Lecturer at the Royal College, of Physicians, London, 1899. Member of the Council of the Royal College, of Physicians, London.

President of the Section of Pharmacology and Therapeutics, Portsmouth Meeting of British Medical Association, 1899. Examiner in Materia Medica in the University of Oxford. Lieutenant-Colonel 1st Eastern General Hospital, Royal Army Medical Corps. ; Downing Professor of Medicine, Cambridge; practises as a physician.
