Bradley attended St Paul's Roman Catholic High School. In 2005, he began attending Loreto College in the Hulme area of Manchester, where he studied Drama and Theatre Studies. He graduated from Loreto in 2007. He received a Bachelor of Arts (Hons), Acting at the Manchester School of Theatre, graduating in 2010.
John Bradley appeared in the TV drama called Borgia in the year 2011. That was his debut in his acting career. Appreciated enough to play in a film in a short time of only a year, he started off pretty good compared to other actors in the industry. After his initial debut, he got the chance to play in the film Anna Karenina as the Austrian Prince in the year 2012. Also appearing in the episodes of the TV series Merlin as Tyr Seward and as Wesley in Shameless, his career went up in each step that he took.
The year 2011 was an extremely good year for him, as he auditioned and bagged the role in the popular HBO TV series - Game of Thrones. His role was of Samwell Tarly, a young man who is forced by his father to join the Night’s Watch. Playing one of the lead characters in the series, he was appreciated greatly for his acting in the series. For his outstanding acting, he was also nominated for several awards as well.
In 2015, Bradley played the role of Miloš Hrma in the BBC Radio Salford radio play production of Closely Observed Trains. In 2018 Bradley appeared in the film Patient Zero, starring alongside Stanley Tucci and fellow Game of Thrones star Natalie Dormer.
An England-based actor, John Bradley West has made his name as a successful actor since his early years in his career. Known mostly for his portrayal of Samwell Tarly in one of the most popular TV series of 2015- Games of Thrones, he has also contributed to several other films and TV shows.
