(This museum quality archival giclee on canvas is printed ...)
This museum quality archival giclee on canvas is printed using state-of-the-art digital technology. Printed on artist-grade canvas each item is hand-inspected for quality assurance and then coated with a protective sealant that provides UV and scratch protection. Each item is then hand-stretched around solid pine stretcher bars for a clean and read-to-hang finish. Depending on the size ordered the piece will then be affixed with either a Saw-Tooth hanger or a traditional hanging hook and wire in the case of larger items. This canvas has what we call a gallery wrap. In other words the sides are mirrored images of the face of the canvas. It is a contemporary gallery look that helps to accentuate the design.

John Bunyan Bristol was born on March 14, 1826 in Hillsdale, New York, the son of Abner and Lydia Bristol.
John Bristol was chiefly self-taught, although he had a few lessons at one time from Henry Ary, portrait painter of Hudson, New York.
His summers were for the most part spent in New England with occasional trips to Lake George and Lake Champlain. A painting entitled "Afternoon on the St. John's River" was the result of this sojourn. In 1859 John Bristol visited Florida and made many sketches in the vicinity of St. Augustine.
He was elected associate of the National Academy of Design and a member of the Artists Fund Society in 1861. In 1875 he was made a full Academician.
He died in New York, August 31, 1909.
John Bunyan Bristol was successfully exhibited in the Centennial Exposition, Philadelphia, in 1876, which presented him with a medal of honor. He also received honorable mention in the Paris Exposition, 1889, and a bronze medal, Pan-American Exposition, Buffalo, 1901. Among his best-known works are: "An Autumn Afternoon near Bolton, Lake George"; "Mansfield Mountain at Sunrise"; "The Adirondacks from Lake Champlain"; "An Afternoon in Haying Time--Berkshire County. " H. T. Tuckerman speaks of him as a "modest and assiduous artist with somewhat of Kensett's repose in his best landscapes, some of which, besides accuracy in detail and true effect in generalization, exhibit a genuine sentiment which elevates their imitative truth".
