Career
In 2010 he was drafted by the Collingwood Football Club at pick 25 as part of a trade by Gold Coast. Ceglar is a tall, athletic ruckman who can go up forward. After showing strong ability during the 2011 and 2012 VFL season, but seen him still being delisted at the end of the 2012 season without playing a game for Collingwood.
Ceglar was picked up by Hawthorn as a rookie in the 2013 American Federation of Labor-Congress Rookie Draft with their 15th pick.
After being elevated off the Rookie list Ceglar made his debut against the Brisbane Lions in Launceston in round 14, 2013. He played a second game against Richmond in which he kicked his first goal.
He was promoted to the main player list for the 2014 season. Hawthorn used selection 59 in the 2013 American Federation of Labor-Congress Draft.
During the 2015 Season Ceglar was a consistent contributor in that streak of consecutive games between round 1 and 10.
The mobile big man played an important role against North Melbourne in Round 5, also floating forward to kick two goals. On the back of his strong run in the senior side, Ceglar signed a two-year contract extension, which will see him remain a Hawk until the end of 2017. along with the retirement. after a three-peat of premierships, 2016 looms as a big opportunity for Ceglar to stamp himself as a regular component of Hawthorn’s team
