Career
Member Institute Automobile Engineers. Selected for service with Lagos Hausa Force, 1895. Served Expedition Gold Coast Hinterland (medal and clasp).
Ashanti War, 1900 (severely wounded, despatches, medal and clasp, Companion of the Distinguished Service Order). Adjutant, Imperial Yeomanry South Africa, 1902. Mechanical Transport, Army Service Corps. Companion of the Distinguished Service Order; Donegal Royal Field Artillery.
