John Coffey

Career

At club level, Coffey played for Boherlahan-Dualla. Coffey is believed to be the oldest living All-Ireland medallist.

Achievements

• In 1945 he won an All-Ireland medal and a Munster medal, beating Christy Ring"s Cork in the Munster Final and a strong Kilkenny side in the All-Ireland final.

Membership

Coffey made his first appearance for the team during the 1940 championship and was a regular member of the starting fifteen for much of the next decade.
