Connock was the son of Nicholas Connock of Street Cleer and his wife Joan Vivian, daughter of Hannibal Vivian of Trelowarren, Cornwall.

He was educated at Middle Temple in 1649.
He was a descendent of John Connock Member of Parliament for Liskeard in 1554. He was seated in May 1660 but made little impact in parliament. Connock"s will dated 1674 was proved in March 1676.
Connock married firstly Bridget Hele, daughter of Walter Hele of Wimpston, Modbury, Devon.
In 1660, Connock was elected Member of Parliament for Liskeard in a double return to the Convention Parliament.
