Education
John L. (Jay) Crouse obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Denison University in Granville, Ohio, in 1971, and a Master of Business Administration with a specialization in finance from George Washington University in Washington, in 1975. During the year 1975-1976, he attended the Maine Photographic Workshop in Rockport.
Career
John Crouse first worked as the manager of the Crouse Lumber Company in Lima, Ohio (1971-1973). Since 1976 he has owned the Atlanta Gallery of Photography. He joined the High Museum of Art in Atlanta in 1976.
