Career
Member of County District and other Councils. Was chairman Tipperary Board of Guardians. A prominent Nationalist during the Land League and Plan of Campaign days.
Was several times imprisoned, and narrowly escaped death in Tullamore Jail in 1891, from a serious attack of fever.
Member of Parliament (Nationalist) for South. Tipperary since 1900.
