Born 19 October 1879 and educated at Street Edward"s School, Oxford and Street John"s College, Oxford he was ordained in 1902. After a short spell as a Curate he was to spend the next 19 years as a Royal Naval Chaplain. In 1924 he was appointed Rector of Lympstone.In 1931 he was appointed Bishop of Nassau, resigning a decade later.
He died on 1 November 1952.
