Education
He was educated at Southampton University.
Career
From 1975 to 1982 Davies practised as a solicitor. In 1984 he was ordained, after a period of study at Saint Michael"s College, Llandaff. He held curacies at Chepstow and Rudry, before being appointed Rector of Bedwas.
From 1995 to 2000 he was vicar of the church of Street John Evangelist, Newport.
Afterwards he worked as Dean of Brecon, until accepting ordination to the episcopate in 2008.
