Mr. Dillon had been active in professional practice since 1904, in which year he joined Thomas H. Morgan in organizing the firm of Morgan & Dillon. Between 1919 and 1930 he was a partner in Morgan, Dillon & Lewis, and after Mr. Morgan's retirement in the latter year continued as head of the firm of Dillon & Lewis the rest of his life.
He began his career as draftsman in Shepley, Rutan & Coolidge's branch office in the city and within a short time became one of the head designers. Early in the century Mr. Dillon moved to Atlanta where he established an office, and later with his partners was identified with the design of a number of commercial and public buildings in the city. Among these should be named the Masonic Temple; Realty Office Building; Georgia Power Company Building; J. M. Allen Building; All Saints Episcopal Church; and buildings at Oglethorpe University.
