Career
Doyle became very popular after his transfter from Carlow town Hurling club to O Loughlin Gaels. Club
Doyle currently plays his hurling in Kilkenny with O Loughlin gaels. However, Doyle started playing his club hurling with Carlow Town.
After coming to prominence at underage levels he made his senior club championship debut as a fringe player in 2008.
However in 2011 he decided to switch clubs to O loughlin Gaels in Kilkenny. His transfer got huge attention from the media and Doyle was asked to go on the late late show following this.
The move was heavily debated in croke park whether they should let him move or not. After a vote of 56 votes to 44 they decided to let him transfer.
He now is regular starter at full forward for the loughlins senior team
Inter-county
That year Carlow qualified for the final of the Leinster Shield, however, they were defeated by Kildare. He later joined the county"s under-21 team Doyle made his senior championship debut in 2011 when he came on as a substitute in a defeat by Antrim in the All-Ireland qualifiers.

Personal He is also a guest at club medal awards where he charges a nominal fee to present the awards to juveniles.
This has become a career for John. He has been quoted saying "If I"m not on the farm, I should be out showing the charm".
Doyle has become known for his distinct celebration when he scores a goal. His celebration consists of running behind the goal and raising his left hand in triumph with his finger outstretched.
John Doyle has been quoted saying "I hate Dermot when he"s in one of his moods, and you can quote me on that I guarantee ya I"d say it to his face".
Dairygold
John has had various work experiences around the country but most notably was his time worked in Dairygold. After a long and tedious interview and many aptitude test John managed to battle off all other one of the competition and secure that cushioned chair in Mitchelstown. With his farming background and his business degree John was set to take on the world.
