Three daughter Served with 78th Highlanders in Persian War, 1856-1857, including the battles of Hooshab, Mohumrah, and expedition to Aliwaz (medal and clasp). Served in Bengal with Havelock’s column, including battles of Futtehpore, Aoung, Pandoo Nudda, Busserutgunge, Cawnpore, relief of Lucknow and subsequent defence, with Outram’s force at Alumbagh and various operations ending in capture of Lucknow, the Rohilcund campaign in 1858, and capture of Bareilly (medal with two clasps and a year’s service for Lucknow).
