John Fuller attended Syracuse University in New York State, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Art History (1962) and a Master of Arts in Art History(1964), both in Art History. He then completed a Doctor of Philosophy in Comparative Arts (1968) at Ohio University in Athens.
Since 1967 John Fuller has been teaching art history and photography at the State University of New York in Oswego, where he was an associate professor of art. Previously, he was a teaching fellow in the Department of Comparative Arts at Ohio University (1964-1967) and served as a U.S. Navy photographer's mate (1956-1958).
A member of CAA, George Eastman House and the Society of Architectural Historians.
