He has had a great deal to do with the organisation of political Associations. Foreign some years he acted as honorary secretary of Christchurch (Hampshire) Conservative Association. In March 1903 Fyler, who was regarded as "a keen sportsman and a Freemason," was elected as Member of Parliament for Chertsey.
Fyler was made bankrupt in May, 1904, with liabilities £22,279,and stepped down as Member of Parliament The deficiency was partly explained by Stock Exchange losses, £14,000.
