Gibbons, John was born on March 28, 1848 in Ruhan Fanad, Company Donegal, Ireland. Son of John and Cecilia (Carr) Gibbons.

Education

Came to the United States, 1866. Graduated Notre Dame U., 1877. (Doctor of Laws from several colls.).

Career

Admitted to louisiana bar, 1870. City attorney, Keokuk, Iowa, 1871-1876. Member Iowa House of Representatives, 1876.

Removed to Chicago and admitted to Illinois bar, 1880. Judge of the Circuit Court of Cook Company, since 1893. Present term expiring 1921.
