Glatzel was a three-time All-American and named to the National Collegiate Athletic Association All-Tournament team three times while playing for the Orange. Glatzel was also elected captain twice and played for the United States in the World Games in 2002. 2000: Started all 16 games despite spraining his thumb in the Yale game..had to wear a removable cast during competition and practice..selected to the National Collegiate Athletic Association All-Tournament Team..named to the USILA/STX All-America Second Team..collected 50 groundballs on the season..named to the Fall 1999 Athletic Director"s Honor Roll and the Spring 2000 Athletic Director"s Honor Roll.

1998: Played in 13 games, started seven..collected 31 groundballs..scored first collegiate goal versus University of Pennsylvania. Glatzel played for the 2002 Gold-medal winning United States national team
Glatzel was drafted in the 1st round (5th overall) of the 2002 Major League Lacrosse draft by the Rochester Rattlers.
Glatzel played in three Major League Lacrosse All-Star Games (2003, 2004, and 2005) as a Rattler. Prior to the 2006 season he was acquired by the Boston Cannons.
He was then picked up by New Jersey in the 2008 Supplemental Draft, 1st round,3rd selection. Glatzel retired from the MLL in 2008.
