John Goullet is a graduate of Ursinus College, which is a private college located about 25 miles outside of Philadelphia and consistently ranked as one of the country’s top liberal arts colleges by U.S. News & World Report. Goullet began attending Ursinus College in 1979. He graduated from the school in 1983.

For an entrepreneurial spirit like John Goullet, building a great business from scratch was always the goal. After graduating from college in 1983, John Goullet embarked on a career in the thriving field of information technology. The 1980s was an era when the future titans of tech, like Bill Gates and Steve Jobs, were starting to become household names, so it was an exciting time to launch a career in this emerging field.
John Goullet got his feet wet by first working as a computer consultant—a job he enjoyed immensely. Then from there, he moved on to become an IT staffing account executive. By the mid-1990s, with the internet in its infancy, the field of information technology was fast growing and John Goullet was eager to get in on the action. It was then that he saw an opportunity. Given that IT was still a relatively new field in the mid-1990s, the barrier for entry in starting a business was relatively low. And since computers and the internet were fast becoming a part of everyone’s lives, the demand for IT workers was growing. For a visionary like John Goullet, that’s when a lightbulb went off.
In 1994 John Goullet started the IT staffing firm Info Technologies. Since he already knew the IT business inside and out, opening up his own staffing firm allowed Goullet to build on his vast wealth of knowledge by matching up in-demand IT professionals with a wide variety of businesses. The company quickly took off, and the industry immediately took notice. Over the next five years, Info Technologies’ earnings grew to $30 million, while Inc. Magazine hailed it as one of the fast growing private companies in the United States. It goes without saying that the company’s rapid success was all thanks to John Goullet’s fearless leadership as CEO.
After nearly 20 years heading Info Technologies as CEO, John Goullet was ready for his next professional challenge. So, in February of 2010, he merged with the IT staffing firm Diversant Inc. to form the new company Diversant LLC. In addition to co-founding Diversant LLC, Goullet currently serves as the company’s chairman—a position he finds immensely rewarding, given the ever changing demands of the IT marketplace.
