John Horan

Career

Horan ran for a seat to the Alberta Legislature in the 1963 Alberta general election. He ran as the Social Cr candidate in the electoral district of Edmonton Jasper Place. Horan ran for a second term in the 1967 general election.

Achievements

• He won a hotly contested race over Progressive Conservative candidate Gerard Amerongen and three other candidates to keep his seat.

Politics

He won the race over three other candidates and was given a strong challenge from Liberal candidate Keith Campbell to pick up the new seat for his party.

Membership

He served as a member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta from 1963 to 1971 sitting with the Social Cr caucus in government.
