Career

Smith joined the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve in 1941 as an ordinary seaman and was promoted to midshipman. He served during the war in landing craft and saw action at Doctorate-Day where he earned his Distinguished Service Cross. After the war, Smith became a shipbroker and worked for Murco and John Latsis. Jarvis-Smith died 15 May 2015.
