Career
He was called to the bar at Gray"s Inn in 1970 and made a bencher in 1996. He became a Queen"s Counsel in 1987. He was appointed a Recorder in 1988.
He served as Chairman of the Special Immigration Appeals Commission from 2007 to 2012.
