Career

Head boy of Shrewsbury School. Elected Fellow of St. John’s College, Cambridge, 1887. One year Assistant Master at Leys School, Cambridge.

And ten years Sixth Form Master at Rugby School. Late Headmaster of University College School. Special Lecturer, Education, Victoria University.

President of Teachers’ Guild, 1907-1908. Appointed on Consultative Committee of Board of Education, 1907. Examiner in Education, Manchester University, 1906-1907, Oxford University, 1908-1909, Cambridge, 1910-1911.

One of the founders of the Co-operative Holidays Association. High Master Manchester Grammar School since 1903.
